About this coffee:

Strictly Hard Bean • European Process • Single Origin • 100% Premium Arabica Coffee

Situated in Central America, Guatemala is one of the world’s top coffee origins and the eighth largest producer. Guatemala has a high reputation for traceability with plantation owners and farmers having their own wet mills and harvest stations allowing a thorough trail of production.

Bojangles is grown in the country’s Huehuetenango region, a non-volcanic region in the northern and central highlands, at an attitude of above 1350m (the ideal height for gourmet coffee) and as such is classified as an SHB coffee…..Strictly Hard Bean. SHB coffees exhibit unique qualities like citrus acidity and it complex combination of fruit and smooth chocolate notes.

Thanks to the dry, hot winds that blow into the mountains from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plains, the region is protected from frost. Mild temperatures along with the altitude allows the coffee to develop and mature slowly resulting in a truly delicious coffee.

Bojangles represents the classic, clean, Central American cup.

  •  SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) specifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude above 1350 meters. This term is also synonymous with SHG/Strictly High Grown; this classification is higher than HB.
  • EP (European Preparation) specifies that the raw beans are hand sorted in Europe to remove any defective beans and foreign material before being re-sacked.
